Braskem is the world leader in the field of biopolymers because of Green PE, first produced on a commercial scale in September 2010.
Awarded and recognized worldwide, Braskem’s Green PE highly has a very positive environmental balance because, considering the complete supply chain, it removes up to 2.15 metric tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere for each tonne produced. The product was announced to the market in 2007, has received certification from the international Beta Analytic laboratory, and was recently certified by the Vinçotte Institute of Belgium.
